Donate Life America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the number of donated organs, eyes and tissues available to save and heal lives through transplantation, while developing a culture where donation is embraced as a fundamental human responsibility.
Their latest campaign chooses the heart as its main symbol, and asks the audience a serious question: “What life do you want your heart to have after your life?”. Through animation, the viewers are presented with two possible paths their hearts could take after they die, depending on their choice of becoming organ donors or not: one in which it simply decays under the earth, and one in which it lives on after being transplanted and gets to take walks on the beach, shoot hoops, go for a drive and so on.
The film was produced entirely in stop motion, with carefully hand-made felt dolls and wooden sets and props that give an irresistibly cute charm even to the most gruesome, worm-ridden scenes.
